Michael Stoneman
AI Educator
Michael is an educator and technologist who brings together a background in computer science, industry, and education to make emerging technology practical and approachable. He earned his degree in Computer Science, where he worked as an undergraduate researcher in natural language processing through SLIM. He later worked as a Sales Engineer, bridging the gap between the technical possibilities of engineering teams and the vision of executive and leadership teams. Driven by a passion for teaching, Michael returned to school to earn his master's degree in Secondary Education. He went on to build a STEM program from the ground up, developing and teaching programs across robotics, esports, computer science, graphic design, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and AI.
At LearnAIR™, Michael leads workshops, cohorts, and trainings while developing curriculum that helps people build the skills and confidence to work effectively with AI. His combination of technical experience and classroom teaching shapes his approach: understand how the technology works, make it useful, and help people feel empowered to put it into practice. Outside of work, Michael is usually learning about new technology or building something with it, whether that means automating a personal workflow, making a silly app for his wife, or building a website for a friend's business. When he steps away from a screen, he enjoys fishing, camping, escape rooms, and just about any puzzle he can get his hands on.
